Sammy Bajpai's Gurukul Dance Company premiered their double-header show June 30th (Saturday), 2012 The first half of the show was Indian Classical dance in the Kuchipudi style of south India and the second half of the show featured Indian folk styles. |

 Rehearsal - Spreading broken glass for Sammy to dance on. (yes, that is real glass, truly broken) In this style the dancer performs a sequence of steps, each time adding a pot to her head before stepping on different "platforms" - a pan, two glasses, horizontal sword blades. a bed of nails (points upward), and finally to broken glass.
