This piece is about a devolving personal environment. In any relationship, we are always seconds from it fundamentally changing. Everything starts out fine until a small misunderstanding changes things. When not addressed, this change can turn into bad blood and frustration. Unity is broken and a tribal mentality sets in where we end up in a sunken place. Everything was fine in the beginning, so how did we get here?

Refraction is a contemporary ballet showing the organized chaos that is found in "the inter-realm of light." The dancers resonate the music, reflecting the refraction of light as if in a box of mirrors.
