This was the third annual Tango Ball for Toi Shaw. Each one has been in the historic century old Drexel Hall at Linwood and Baltimore. This is the oldest continually running dance hall in the city. It was built at the turn of the last century as a dance hall. Toi has the oldest and largest continuosly running Argentine Tango class in the city. Here was the calendar announcement:

(Actually there were two special guests: 1) Nathan Granner, our very own tango tenor and one of "The Three American Tenors") and 2) Christine Brebes on a visit back to Kansas City after living a year in Argentina as a member of the orchestra in Buenos Aires)

Drexel Hall, 3301 Baltimore
Originally built a century ago as a dance hall and still used as a dance hall.
This is like a little time travel back to an earlier period.
