Katie Alexander broke her right ankle as she came down from a leap
in the friday night dress rehersal. In the program below Katie shows
in many of the early dress rehearsal pictures on friday night. After
her injury she was quickly iced and moved to the hospital. At that point
and before the next night's performance the cast completely re-staged
three of the pieces she was in for one less dancer. In two pieces Donna
Frogge stepped in as a dancer. The performance was dedicated to Katie
and she was on stage with crutches and an ankle brace for the end-of-program
bows, receiving a bouqet of flowers (see top right picture above). She
had worked a year training for this performance.
