The "Gallery of People" page is not intended as any kind of comprehensive set of pictures of musicians or other individuals in Kansas City. This is a place for me to place photos of bands or dance teachers that might not fit into the other categories on my site - dancing and dancers. It is also a place for me to place photos I take of the "do-it" people in dance, etc. The people are placed here on a catch as catch can page.

- Toi Shaw - KC Swing Dance Teacher, independent teacher (See also Walters Dance Center)- Literally thousands of persons have learned through her classes over the years.
- Leonard Reed - The man who, with Willie Bryant, created the Shim Sham Shimmy in 1927 hails from Kansas City. He left in 1925 and at 93 (January 7, 1999) he remains a vigorous performer, producer and teacher.
- Tex Houston and Kurt Wegner - Two who originally taught so many to swing dance in KC nightclubs. Tex now co-hosts a radio show on KKFI with Lynne Greenamyre.
- Jean Denney - (co-founder of Cat's Corner) Professional Dancer, Teacher, Celtic dance, Lindy Hop and now with the Kansas Arts Commission.

- Santana Hernandez Benefit - Santana, an amiable bear of a guy, was a bartender at Club 727 who was killed in street violence while riding in a car with his brother. Latino rapper Kid Frost had just given a concert at 727 a few days before. Frost returned the next weekend to give a benefit for Santana's wife and child.
