Daniel Newsome and Tiffany Wine are leading a workshop and it is clear they share the instruction as they share the dance. The hints and tips seem almost like a single instruction set spoken in two voices. They are at the still new Amoré Dance studio in the RiverMarket. On the east side, in the 523 Grand building, Amoré is just behind the double doors at the southeast corner of Missouri and Grand (actually 6th and Grand if you are counting street numbers). Amoré was opened in January of 2005 by Jessica Thompson and Tony Witt. The studio is medium sized with great light and a two-tiered look kind of like one of those New York apartments you see only in sitcoms. Today they have their new, hardwood, dance floor laid out over the original concrete. It is bright, shiny blond, and very smoothly finished. In the corner near the door, as Dan and Tiff divy up the class into girls on the north and boys on the sourth with each getting their part of the dance, Kenny Nelson is sipping a longneck (premium ginger-ale, that is), Jessica is sipping on a covered hot cup of morning stimulant and Chrissy is madly typing. Tiff and Dan are talking. Dan is demonstrating a step and explaining that he is exaggerating the step height for illustration only.

The "Jake-Meter" - Jake Fisher does honors as "The Applause Meter" for the contest as our eager couple just behind quickly throws in one last move for the audience rating.
