Funky Town has mostly disco and classic rock music, usually called
retro.
Funky Town has one of the nicest medium-size dance floors in the area.

Just inside the northeast corner of I-435 and Hwy 350 Blue Parkway
- you can get here from I-435 by taking either the 350 highway exit or
the 63rd st. exit. Hours: open 11 am close 1:30 am, stage show about
9 pm Fri/Sat's.
DJ for music, plan to have concerts in the future. Dress Code: no ball caps, no tank tops, no baggy clothes, no athletic gear, shirts must be tucked in. Lunch from 11 am to 2 pm, dinner from 5 pm to 9 pm - deli sandwiches to KC strip steaks. Bright cartoonish colors and large cartoon murals with a cartoon cityscape. The main room has the dance area in the north half. Their is a bar to either side of the dance floor and a stage behind it. The front corners of the dance floor have slightly raised dance platforms. The south half has a bar, social tables with seating, some booths, a few games and a couple of pool tables. |
