Members of the WDAF Channel 4 morning news crew received ballet instruction and demos from Ann Shaughnessy in the main studio at City in Motion. Their piece places themselves in a little drama about dancing the way "Billy" would dance. Traffic reporter Nick Vasos gave it his all (did well too!) even donning black tights and a pick tutu. His changements were so intense that we thought of sending him to ABT to try out. Okay, that was a bit of an exaggeration but he was game and he did do well for himself, as did everyone. See the pictures below. Along with Nick were meteorologist Michelle Bogowith and anchor Kim Byrnes. All three hit the barre spending a good two hours for what The "camera guy" is Derek Carter and the producer is Camissa Hill. As we listened to Camissa's vocabulary and realized what her plans were it seemed clear she must be or have been a dancer. Yup. She knows her stuff from direct experience. Her linked in profile gives dance as one of her majors at Syracuse University and that she was a member of Creations Dance Company there. Hurrays for Camissa.
